I began taking piano lessons at the age of five, voice lessons at the age of twelve, and continued studying both through college. Majoring in Choral/General Music Education at Indiana University, my main instrument of study was the pipe organ. I maintain my K-12 state teaching license for music. I have a diverse musical background and love all styles of music from classical and jazz to present day country, pop, and rap music.

My formal teaching experience ranges from directing six choirs, of over two hundred junior high/high school students, to private individual lessons for any age. Music is a passion of mine, mentored by wonderful music teachers from my band and choir directors in school, as well as my private instructors.

My long-term dedication to study music stems from the positive encouragement and discipline my instructors gave me over the years. I have adopted this method of being positive and encouraging, while also requiring discipline and hard work, for teaching my students.
